We are announcing the fifth concert of the 52nd Musical evenings in st. Donat
We are announcing the fifth concert of the 52nd Musical evenings in st. Donat – summer festival of top notched music.
On Friday, July 27th 2012 in the magnificent Chatedral of st. Anastasia in Zadar, beginning at 9 p.m., another fine ensemble will again present the early music. It is the ensemble SYMBLEMA, established 2009 at the initiative of renowned Croatian musicians of the younger generation, Bojan Čičić (baroque violin), Nika Zlatarić (viola da gamba) and Pavao Mašić (harpsichordist). Ensemble, whose name comes from the musical term for an interesting and vivid harmonic figure of the Baroque music, has devoted his attention mainly to the Baroque repertoire, and this Friday they decided to honor us with works of G. P. Cime, D. Castello, G. B. Platti, H. Albicastro, M. Rossi, M. Uccellini, G. Antonio Bertoli, G. A. Pandolfi Mealli and A. Stradella. Playing on original Baroque instruments and incorporating historically-informed techniques with a personalized artistic vision, brilliant musicians will try to take us on the sublime, mystical world permeated with the ataraxia.
We invite you to magnify the occasion in the Zadar’s church capital!
