Dear readers,
We are announcing the sixth concert of the 52nd Musical Evenings in St. Donat, summer festival of superior music in Zadar.
On Tuesday, July 31st 2012, beginning at 9 p.m. magnificent music written by timeless classics, Mozart, Vivaldi, Bach and even modern composer from Zagreb, M. Ruždjak, will echo through Zadar’s medieval jewel, the Church of St. Donat. Aleksandar KALAJDŽIĆ, internationally renowned Croatian conductor, currently permanent conductor at Vereinigten Städtischen Bühnen Krefeld and Mönchengladbach, Bayerische Staadtsoper in München and Weimar State Orchestra, will lead Zadar Chamber Orchestra, and the solo part will perform brilliant musicians – Tomasz TOMASZEVSKI (violin) and Wladimir KOSSJANENKO (viola).

On Tuesday, July 9th at Forum square, beginning at 9:30 PM, Croatian RTV Symphony Orchestra and Choir under the direction of Ivo LIPANOVIĆ along with the most honorable Croatian singers, like Valentina Fijačko, Martina Zadro, Dubravka Šeparović Mušović, Ivica Čikeš, Ljubomir Puškarić, Tomislav Mužek and Giorgio Surian, will ceremonially open Musical Evenings.
On a big stage, more than 150 musicians will be celebrating the bicentennial anniversary of birth of two giants of musical romanticism – Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner. Programme which they will perform was a part of this year concert Opera under the stars, traditionally held in Zagreb.
