Dear readers,
We are announcing the eight concert of 52nd Musical Evenings in St. Donat, summer cycle of top notched music.
On Monday, August 6th 2012, beginning at 9 p.m., medieval Church of St. Donat will echo the sounds of early Baroque performed by young Croatian ensemble RESPONSORIUM. From a rich repertoire, both foreign and domestic Renaissance and early Baroque, for this occasion ensemble of six members chose works of important Croatian composer originating from Verona, Thomaso Cecchini. Musical audience of Zadar will get another opportunity to enjoy authentic performance of the early music by brilliant musicians on original instruments, with the help of historically informed interpretation of the early music.

On Tuesday, July 9th at Forum square, beginning at 9:30 PM, Croatian RTV Symphony Orchestra and Choir under the direction of Ivo LIPANOVIĆ along with the most honorable Croatian singers, like Valentina Fijačko, Martina Zadro, Dubravka Šeparović Mušović, Ivica Čikeš, Ljubomir Puškarić, Tomislav Mužek and Giorgio Surian, will ceremonially open Musical Evenings.
On a big stage, more than 150 musicians will be celebrating the bicentennial anniversary of birth of two giants of musical romanticism – Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner. Programme which they will perform was a part of this year concert Opera under the stars, traditionally held in Zagreb.
