ZADAR’S MUSICAL GOLD

May 31st, 2010

The Musical Evenings at St. Donat are part of Zadar, its citizens and their guests for half a century! During this period they have become a inestimable wealth, musical gold that we carefully treasure and with which many generations were proudly adorned.

This year we are marking the anniversary with exuberant and solemn celebrations – twelve sumptuous concerts, an array of soloists, conductors, chamber and symphonic ensembles in the inspiring interiors of the St. Donat church, St.  Francis church, St.  Anastasia church, Croatian Science and Arts Academy and Roman Forum.

The Evenings proudly step in their second half of a century with a new impetus, with determined and justified ambition to remain a permanent value in the form of one of the most significant musical events of the whole Adriatic basin and Croatia.

Within the one month period, the Evenings will be honoured by the presence of Pavle Dešpalj, Valter Dešpalj, Giovanni Solimma, Monika Leskovar, Giovanni Antonini, Mattias Wager, Saša Britvić, Lidija Horvat Dunjko, Ronald Braus, Vladimir Kranjčević, Tomislav Fačini, Dimitry Sinkovsky, Marie Spaemann, Sacha Goetzel, Ratimir Martinović, Željko Milić, Miran Vaupotić, Robert Belinić and many others.

Let the Zadar’s musical gold reverberate!

New visual identity

June 12th, 2010
The new visual identity of the Musical Evenings in St. Donat was created by Mr. Igor Gluić. The visual concept has been conceived on the basis of precious relics that are preserved at the St. Mary’s Monastery. Hands… golden, holy hands, raised towards the air to uphold the oldest music festival in town, and at the same time, human hands…hands without which there will be no music.
